Marketing is a big-picture activity at the Institute and, consequently, there is a great deal of interface and coordination with other Institute groups and committees. The Marketing Committee is responsible for determining and implementing comprehensive marketing strategy in support of the Institute’s mission and goals. This ranges from events to educational programs and research initiatives as part of an overall organizational strategy. Of course, the promotion of the Institute and its affairs is a core charge of this committee. This includes everything from email campaigns to press releases, event promotion, social networking programs and other networking strategies. The marketing team is also responsible for capturing assets resulting from Institute events and activities—in the form of photo imagery, audio and video recordings and other digital and print materials—and developing these assets in various forms of workshops, webinars, presentations and publications as knowledge-sharing content made accessible to Institute members and the public.
Applications to this committee are considered by the committee members on a case-by-case basis.
