Education is a core mission of the Institute, shaping the marketplace through education. Thus, the education committee is a key group of the Institute charged with developing and implementing educational programs with the aim of advancing the art, science and technology of the building skin, this as a means to catalyze transformation to truly resilient and sustainable buildings and urban habitat. This effort must embrace the Institute’s strategy of inclusiveness and bridging the fragments that populate the AECO industry. This involves academia, of course, but also the profession, industry and trades; indeed, educational needs across the broad spectrum of the building design and delivery process must be considered.
The Education Committee is currently full but new members are considered annually or as deemed appropriate by the committee chair. Expressions of interest are always welcome.
