Biography

Sean is a licensed architect and project manager with the National Park Service. Previously Sean served as a subject matter expert with the U.S. General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service where he provided design quality assurance for GSA’s capital construction program nationwide with an emphasis on the delivery of high-performance building enclosure systems. Sean reviewed architectural designs, guided commissioning, and conducted forensic investigations of building failures. Sean co-authored the revised “GSA Commissioning Guide” (September 2020), and he founded GSA’s Building Enclosure Working Group as a venue for continuing education. As the past Chief Architect for GSA’s Mid-Atlantic region, Sean oversaw the implementation of national Design Excellence policies and provided leadership, analysis, and technical direction for regional projects. Over the last decade, Sean led the selection of architects, engineers, and construction contractors for federal projects with an estimated total construction value of more than one billion dollars. Sean is a U.S. Army veteran. He resides in Philadelphia with a 12-year-old quarterback and their 90-lb golden retriever, Champ.
