Ryan Danks

Ryan Danks is a senior engineer and Associate in the Building Performance team at RWDI. His work focuses on the research and development of tools and methodologies to better simulate the interaction between the built and natural environments in order to help engineers, architects and urban planners create climate aware designs that emphasize energy efficiency, outdoor comfort and walkability.

This requires leveraging a wide variety of computational modeling techniques, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), solar radiation modeling, particulate matter transportation and human physiological response modeling to understand how local wind, solar and rain patterns influence the liveability of urban spaces.
