Biography

Neil specializes in the research and evaluation of the thermal performance of the building envelope. Neil focuses on the development of performance calculation tools and component modelling data for industry use and has worked with numerous project teams and manufacturers to better understand and mitigate thermal bridging in their designs. Neil’s work includes ASHRAE 1365-RP, The Building Envelope Thermal Bridging Guide, the Guide to Low Thermal Energy Demand in Buildings and numerous other publications and tools. Neil’s contributions to thermal bridging research has been incorporated into numerous codes and standards, including the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.
