Biography
Jennifer is a think-outside-the-box advocate for sustainability and a crusader for environmental performance measurement and accountability. She is President of the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute, a non-profit research group and consultancy enabling the adoption of life cycle assessment (LCA) in the construction sector. The Athena Institute is the North American leader in LCA for construction materials and buildings, providing public service, next-generation tools, and ground-breaking work since 1997. Jennifer has been working in building-industry sustainability for over three decades, with diverse roles in research, design and education in the US and Canada. Her deep expertise and cross-disciplinary background in architecture, HVAC engineering and advanced building performance make her an effective communicator and agent of change.
