Biography
Christian has dedicated his entire career to advancing energy efficiency in buildings, garnering a reputation as a trusted advisor to clients, governments and organizations by providing objective, common sense solutions with a commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Over his 10 years as a consultant Christian led one of Canada's largest energy performance teams, working on hundreds of projects across North America, including the development of new building energy codes that support governments' greenhouse gas reduction commitments, including the BC Energy Step Code and Toronto and Vancouver's Zero Emissions Building policies. Before joining EllisDon last year, Christian spent 2 years launching and building the non-profit organization, ZEBx - Canada's first Zero Emissions Building Centre of Excellence. As its first Executive Director, Christian leveraged his relationships in government, academia and industry to triple ZEBx's core funding and deliver programming that reached over 6,000 participants through more than a hundred capacity building events and resources. At EllisDon, Christian manages the energy performance of complex projects from design through to operations, and supports EllisDon's corporate climate change strategy.
